Tokinoki exhibition Now Open at Monte do Paio
The Monte do Paio Interpretation Center welcomed visitors on April 12 for the opening of our exhibition "Trees of Time: The Lagoon's Flora in Tokinoki. "It was wonderful to see so many people gather to experience these unique sculptures that transform natural elements from the Santo André Lagoon into expressive works of art. The exhibition showcases a collection that embraces the wabi-sabi philosophy—finding beauty in imperfection and impermanence—through pieces that connect deeply with the local biodiversity. We're particularly excited to feature guest works by talented artists ilipa Sobral and Raul Oliveira, whose creative interpretations of the Tokinoki concept add a special dimension to the main collection.
If you couldn't make it to the opening, don't worry! The exhibition remains open until the end of May 2025, giving you plenty of time to explore this intersection of art and nature in one of Portugal's most beautiful nature reserves.
